| Last year confirmed it: the world’s youth are open to the Good News of Jesus Christ. In high schools around the world, we’re being invited to teach Jesus and openly enroll students in WBS Bible studies. Sadly, most teens in developing countries will not complete their studies because their poverty puts even the cost of a postage stamp beyond their means.
But we’re employing tools and programs to both recruit more young people to study the Bible and make it easier for them to study longer. (Examples are WBS Service Centers and business reply mail that reduce or eliminate costs for students.) After all, we want WBS students to continue in their studies until they reach full faith in Jesus. For 2008, we’re seeking the $500,000 needed to do so.
We expect half a million high school age youth to enroll. Thousands will be baptized. WBS’ Impact Sunday—in partnership with churches of Christ around the country—will play a critical role in helping us reach our goal. Please join us.
